<transcy>The causes that are close to our hearts.</transcy>

<transcy>Unicef</transcy>

During the year of 2019, UNICEF provided 307 million children under the age of 5 with services to prevent malnutrition, 17 million out-of-school children with education, 18.3 million people with access to clean drinking water and humanitarian aid in 281 emergencies in 96 countries. Although, the work does not stop there. More than 690 million people around the world are still undernourished and the number of people without basic services and fundamental needs is increasing by 10 million per year. After a decade of declining global poverty, world hunger is on the rise again, and they need your help.

<transcy>Food Bank</transcy>

In Canada's capital, more than 39,000 people visit an emergency food bank program each month. From 2014-2017, 33% more families in Ottawa were staying at a homeless shelter. In 2019, 37% of clients who visited food banks in Ottawa were children under the age of 18 and since the start of the pandemic, the number of people who visit homeless shelters has doubled. You can help these innocent civilians today.

<transcy>Environmental Protection</transcy>

It's no secret that our planet's environment is in great danger. As a society, we must protect and restore the ecosystems around us. Fortunately, many organizations are trying to make a change and have made good progress over the years. A small part of some of the big wins in which provincial foundations have played a role are: more land added to Ontario's greenbelt, reduced gas consumption, passage of Bill C-15, adoption of the federal law on endangered species, etc. There is still a lot more work to do and there are easy ways to help. Show your support towards the environment now.

<transcy>Research against cancer</transcy>

During their lifetime, nearly 1 in 2 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer. In 2017, more than 200,000 Canadians were diagnosed with cancer, and the disease claimed the lives of approximately 80,000 Canadians. Cancer is the leading cause of death in Canada. Ideally, the death rate for many cancers continues to decline in Canada. However, cancer death rates increase dramatically for liver cancer in men and women, and uterine cancer in women. Support these victims today.
